Ebsco MegaFile - EBSCO MegaFILE is a multi-disciplinary database providing full text for nearly 12,000 total publications and indexing & abstracting for more than 16,000 publications. In addition, the database contains more than 84,000 biographies, 86,000 primary source documents, 10,000 company profiles and an image collection of more than 107,000 photos, maps and flags. Link
GALE'S Expanded Academic ASAP is comprised of more than 3,500 indexed and full-text titles — of which 2,100 are peer-reviewed — in all disciplines with more than 20 years of backfile coverage and offers on topics including social sciences, humanities, education, science and technology. Link

Ebsco's MasterFILE Premier contains full text for nearly 1,750 periodicals covering general reference, business, health, education, general science, multicultural issues and nearly 500 reference books, over 164,400 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of over 440,000 photos, maps & flags. Ebsco's Academic Search Premier contains indexing and abstracts for over 8,450 journals, with full text for more than 4,650 of those titles with broad coverage in biology, chemistry, engineering, physics, psychology, religion & theology, etc. Link
Ebsco's Business Source Premier is a large business research database, featuring the full text for more than 2,300 journals coverage of business including marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance and economics. Link

What are the databases
The Minnesota Legislature funds online access for Minnesota residents to magazine, journal, and newspaper articles, eBooks (electronic books), and information from other sources. This access is collected under the name ELM (Electronic Library for Minnesota). There are 45 databases from five vendors in the ELM Databases collection ant these contain:17,000 magazines, with more than 13,000 containing full text and 15,000 electronic books Crookston High School students have access to these databases and the full text articles they contain while on the school network.
UMC Library subject specific databases
UMC Library subscribes to many databases in addition to the databases. Access to many of these is limited the UMC network on campus. Many of these are specialized for specific majors like Sports Discus- Criminal Justice Periodicals - Communication & Mass Media Complete - Agricultural Journals - Biological Abstracts - BioOne - Computer Database - Education Journals.- MLA International Bibliography In addition the UMC Library subscribes to a number of very large full text journal collections including - IEEE - JSTOR - SpringerLink - Project Muse - Wiley Online Library - ScienceDirect.
FindIt Linking
The UMC Library also gets access to many more full text articles in the databases listed above. UMC Library is able to link these resources together so that if full text is available in a journal collection or databases it will be available in all the databases. This is a very powerful tool and makes finding the text of an article much easer. FindIt t the linking service is only available to Crookston High students while on campus and off campus only if you have a UMC username and password (College in the High School)
